41. ACCA XF, Kangxi Tongbao Xiaoping unter der Qing-Dynastie, mit Manchu- und chinesischen Inschriften; Guangxu Tongbao Xiaoping unter der Qing-Dynastie, Bao Dong Bureau, zwei Münzen zusammen für Auktion.
Emperor Kangxi of the Qing Dynasty ascended the throne at a young age. During his reign, he skillfully captured the powerful minister Oboi, eased class conflicts, reduced slavery and taxes, reformed the tax system, developed river transportation, suppressed the Three Feudatories and border states, signed the Treaty of Nerchinsk with Russia, and even sent troops to Tibet. He introduced Western science, laying the foundation for the prosperous era of Kangxi, Yongzheng, and Qianlong. Kangxi was also the longest-reigning emperor in Chinese history, and his story has been widely adapted into films and dramas, making him a highly accomplished emperor. Due to the prosperity of the Kangxi reign, the coins of his era were also very exquisite. Kangxi coins are called "poetry coins" because the inscriptions on the reverse side differ, resembling a poem when read.
During Emperor Guangxu’s reign, the court was controlled by Empress Dowager Cixi. The period experienced numerous disasters affecting people's lives, the failure of the Hundred Days’ Reform, increased foreign intervention in China, and the beginning of Japanese intrusion, leading to a weakened national power. Emperor Guangxu died at the age of 38. Although the country was in decline, his coins were very beautiful, and smaller coin types were chosen for minting. Collectors often think they are of lower value, but some editions of Guangxu coins are rarer than those of other emperors and are more expensive.
