Item Description:
亀田利雄 Kameda Toshio — Inlaid Ceramic Flower Vase, Titled "Haruka" (遥か / "Distant")
A magnificent large-scale ceramic flower vase (花器, kaki) created by Japanese ceramic artist Kameda Toshio, featuring the refined zōgan (象嵌) inlay technique.
Titled "Haruka" (遥か), meaning "Distant" or "Far Away," this work evokes a profound sense of expansive space and serene longing — themes deeply rooted in Japanese aesthetics.
The vessel presents a broad, horizontal form with an impressive width of 51 cm, conveying both grandeur and elegance.
The inlay decoration is meticulously applied, with contrasting clay bodies embedded into the surface to create intricate, textured patterns that catch the light beautifully.
The warm earthy tones and refined craftsmanship make this a striking centrepiece for any interior.
The work comes with its original wooden presentation box (tomobako, 共箱) bearing the artist's signature and seal, along with an informational bookmark (shiori, 栞), attesting to its authenticity.

Height: 35.5 cm
Width: 51 cm
Depth: 13 cm
