Springbank 21 years old - b. 2020 - 70 cl

This is the 2022 edition of the Springbank 21 YO. Matured in a mix of 55 % ex-sherry casks and 45 % ex-port wine casks. Bottled 2022-07-27, and limited to 3600 bottles.

Nose: Super delicate and so well integrated. The smokiness and funkiness are simply thin veils of deliciousness covering a rich and deep fruity symphony. There is so much going on here that I’ll just leave you with a few highlights; raisins, chocolate, leather, toffee, sweet ashes, soot, and hints of farmyard funk.

Taste: Full bodied and big. More of the same - thank the whisky gods! And at the same time so much more. Almost creamy in character now. Red berries and exotic spices added to the already very rich mix.

Finish: Long finish. Sugary ashes, and general yumminess on top of everything.
