William Neale & Son Ltd – Art Deco Sterling Silver Card Case – Birmingham, 1934
Elegant English Art Deco sterling silver card case, crafted by the renowned Birmingham silversmith William Neale & Son Ltd, fully hallmarked for Birmingham, sterling silver (.925), with the date letter K (1934).
This refined piece features a finely engine-turned geometric decoration on both sides, a classic Art Deco design. The interior retains its original gilt finish and is fitted with corner retaining clips, designed to secure calling cards, notes or folded banknotes.
Unlike larger cigarette cases, this compact model was intended as a gentleman’s pocket accessory, combining practicality with understated elegance. Today it can be used as a luxury business card holder, card wallet or small keepsake box.
