These are authentic chromolithographs, a sophisticated 19th-century printing technique that utilizes multiple stone plates to create rich, nuanced colors and exceptional topographical detail.
These maps capture a pivotal moment in history, showcasing the "Environs" (surroundings) of the great Imperial capitals of Europe and the East just before the dawn of the 20th century.
