Vom Verkäufer bereitgestellte Beschreibung
Iconic Russian mechanical watch with naval anchor motif, red star and original “Komandirskie” inscription – a post-Soviet continuation of classic military watchmaking tradition.
This is an authentic Vostok “Komandirskie” mechanical wristwatch, produced by the famous Vostok Watch Factory in Chistopol, Russia. The inscription “Сделано в России” — “Made in Russia” confirms that this example belongs to the post-Soviet period, most likely the 1990s.
Although produced after the dissolution of the USSR, the watch strongly preserves the recognizable visual language of Soviet military timepieces. Its combination of a deep blue dial, red star, naval anchor and bold rotating bezel creates a distinctive military and maritime appearance.

Historical and symbolic value
The red star is one of the most recognizable symbols associated with Soviet military history. Even after the collapse of the USSR, it continued to appear on Russian military-style watches as a visual link to the traditions, imagery and prestige of the Soviet Armed Forces.
The anchor emblem gives the watch a strong naval character and recalls the maritime tradition of the Soviet and Russian fleets. Together with the dark blue dial, it creates an especially attractive design for collectors of naval memorabilia.
The name “Командирские” — “Commander’s” became closely associated with military-inspired watches produced by Vostok. These watches were admired for their robust mechanical construction, distinctive appearance and unmistakable connection with Soviet and Russian military culture.
This particular example represents an interesting transitional period: it was manufactured in Russia after the fall of the Soviet Union, yet its design remains deeply rooted in Soviet military aesthetics. It is therefore not only a mechanical wristwatch, but also a collectible object illustrating the continuity between Soviet and post-Soviet watchmaking.
Condition
The watch is presented in good vintage condition with visible signs of age and use. There are surface scratches, light wear to the case and bezel, and signs of use on the leather strap, all consistent with the age and history of the piece.
Please examine all photographs carefully, as they form an essential part of the description and clearly show the cosmetic condition of the watch, case, bezel, dial, strap and case back.
