A special selection of Chimay Grande Réserve, matured in oak barrels and offering a particularly rich and complex interpretation of one of Belgium’s most iconic Trappist beers.

Based on the legendary Chimay Grande Réserve, this barrel-aged version undergoes an additional maturation in wooden barrels, adding further depth, structure and aromatic complexity to the beer. Depending on the barrels used, the ageing can bring elegant notes of oak, vanilla, dried fruit, caramel, spice and subtle toasted nuances, beautifully integrated with the dark, malty and fruity character of the original Grande Réserve.

At 10.5% alcohol, this is a powerful yet refined beer, with a full-bodied texture, impressive concentration and a long, warming finish.

One of the most interesting aspects of the Grande Réserve barrel-aged series is its excellent ageing potential. With careful cellaring, the beer can continue to evolve, developing greater roundness and more complex secondary aromas over time.
