Vintage 1961 Maritime & Commerce Shipping Set – German Certificate of Origin & Insurance (Hamburg to Greece)
A fascinating piece of 1960s international maritime trade and banking history. This original 2-piece document set offers a complete snapshot of a West German export transaction to Greece in June 1961. Both documents belong to the exact same shipment of 500 kg "Sylvaphane" transparent cellulose film, transported on the motor vessel MS Hathor from Hamburg to the port of Piraeus, Greece.
The Set Includes:
- Certificate of Origin (Ursprungszeugnis) – June 23, 1961.
Issued by the Hamburg Chamber of Commerce (Handelskammer Hamburg) with official blind embossing stamp and signatures.
Consignor: Von Gellhorn & Co. (Hamburg). Detailed breakdown of the cargo (17 cartons, dimensions, gross/net weight).
