Daum Nancy Art Nouveau Cameo-Glasvase, ca. 1910, 28 cm hoch, mehrlagiges farbiges Glas mit Eukalyptusrelief, reliefsigniert „Daum Nancy“ mit dem Lorrainekreuz, Nancy, Frankreich, in gutem gebrauchten Zustand mit geringfügigen Alterszeichen.
Vom Verkäufer bereitgestellte Beschreibung
Daum Nancy, Frankreich
Art Nouveau, ca. 1910–1913
Tall fusiform vase on a circular pedestal foot, executed in multilayer cameo glass.
The mottled glass ground displays warm shades of yellow, amber, orange and red, overlaid with dark green to almost black glass. The continuous botanical decoration is acid-etched in relief and depicts eucalyptus branches with elongated leaves, flowers and buds/fruits.
The combination of dark eucalyptus foliage against a luminous orange-red ground is characteristic of Daum's naturalistic Art Nouveau production of the early 20th century. Comparable eucalyptus decorations by Daum are documented around 1910–1913.
Signed in relief on the body “Daum Nancy” with the Cross of Lorraine.
Height: 28 cm
Material: Mehrlagiges / Cameo-Glas
Technique: Säureätzte Relief-Dekoration
Origin: Nancy, Frankreich
