Wiktor Bezrukow (real name Piotr Łagucik, born 1972) is a Polish painter based in Białystok. He studied at the Art School in Supraśl and later at the Scenography Department of the Higher School of Fine Arts “Schola Posnaniensis” in Poznań.
He returned to easel painting in 2005. His work combines influences from Impressionism, Post-Impressionism and figurative painting with elements of Byzantine and Eastern European iconographic traditions. He often employs simplified compositions and reverse perspective, giving his paintings a distinctive decorative character.
Bezrukow’s paintings are distinguished by vibrant colours, expressive forms and an optimistic, poetic atmosphere. His work also reflects the influence of artists such as Marc Chagall and Amedeo Modigliani. His paintings are held in private collections in Poland and abroad.
