British artist Francis Brook is today one of the most prolific painters immortalizing old cars. Er ist der Sohn eines Fotografen, der 1960 die legendäre Rallye Le Mans und Dayton porträtierte. Fascinated by slender silhouettes, shiny chrome, old wood and classic dashboard, he has developed his own realistic style capturing the smallest data of his favorite cars by running a brush in a way that does not imitate photography. This is a representation of a Jaguar E-Type Series 1, a British sports car produced between 1961 and 1974. Berühmt für sein aerodynamisches Design und seine fortschrittliche Technik, gilt er als Ikone des Automobilbaus des 20. Jahrhunderts.
