ABOUT THE ARTWORK In “Puzzled,” Inés Azagra presents an evocative silhouette of a chair as if emerging from—or disappearing into—another. This interplay between two different elements, absence and presence, cool purity and fiery depth, suggests a silent tension—an object both revealed and concealed—leaving the viewer suspended in quiet contemplation. This piece has been awarded by an honourable mention in Intaglio Printing by Real Academia de Bellas Artes de San Fernando. ABOUT THE ARTIST Inés Azagra holds a degree in Fine Arts from the Complutense University of Madrid (1997) and a Master's degree with honors from the University of Plymouth, UK (2008). She has held several solo exhibitions (Houseroom Gallery in Bath, UK, South Hill Park Centre in Bracknell, UK, Fundación Arte XXI in Madrid) and group exhibitions (Exeter College, UK, Estampa, FLECHA, Affordable Art Fair in New York and London, Red Itiner in the Community of Madrid). In 2016, he was awarded an Honorable Mention in the National Chalcography Graphic Art Competition.
