Vintage japanische Emaille-Schilder – 3-teiliges Set (tiefes Kobaltblau, 1950er–70er Jahre) - Emailleschild (3) - Emaille

Description A striking and highly collectible set of three vintage Japanese enamel sign plates, each finished in a rich deep cobalt blue glaze with bold white characters. These plates—originally used by medical and public health institutions—represent a fascinating fragment of mid-20th-century Japanese social history. Produced between the 1950s and 1970s, these signs were made using traditional glass-fired enamel techniques, applied over a steel base and kiln-fired to achieve their signature glossy, durable finish. The typography is a superb example of period Japanese calligraphic design, meant to be clearly legible from a distance while maintaining harmonious balance and aesthetic presence. The three plates display the following inscriptions (vertical reading): 健康保険取扱 – “Health Insurance Handling” 健保接種指定医 – “Designated Health Insurance Doctor” 縫康護険取防 – Public health / medical service designation plate Such institutional enamel plates are increasingly rare in complete multi-piece sets. Their minimalist yet powerful design makes them ideal decorative pieces for collectors of Asian signage, industrial design enthusiasts, or interior spaces seeking an authentic vintage statement. The enamel surfaces retain their original brilliance, with age-related patina and minor wear that enhance the authenticity and character expected from true vintage enamelware. Dimensions (approx.) Height: 30.9 cm each Condition Very good vintage condition with expected signs of age: minor edge wear, small chips at mounting points, and natural enamel imperfections. All details are visible in the photos. Structurally solid and displays beautifully as a set. An exceptional opportunity to acquire three matching mid-century Japanese enamel signs, increasingly sought after in European vintage and design markets.
