Japanese WWII wounded siver and gold badge Sen Sho with wooden box with gold letters. Badge made of strling silver, gold and red enamel This is the rarest and most expensive version. It's distinguished by the samurai's face being made of gold (in the standard version, it's made of silver). This is the first time it's been sold in many years. The last photo is for informational purposes only (one badge is being sold). It was issued from 1938 and was awarded to soldiers who were wounded at the front and had shown their courage. The image in the 32 mm medallion is none other than the famous Samurai Kusunoke Masashige. This samurai was a legend and died on the battlefield in the 13th century and lived according to the bushido code.
