Large and impressive Polyphon music box, made in Leipzig at the end of the 19th century by the renowned Polyphon company, known for its large-scale production. Double-comb models are especially sought after for their refined and resonant sound quality. This particular case design is highly unusual and, to our knowledge, has not been seen before. It does not appear in any of the available catalogues, making it an exceptionally rare and valuable collector’s item. There is a drawer at the bottom of the case containing one disc. Please note that the drawer has no key, and we do not wish to force the lock. The sale includes 6 discs in total. This box plays music but could do with some ltd (case(small minor parts missing), dampers(in need of adjustment...)
