The fukigaeshi display floral motifs and patinated lacquer, with orange cords and elegant wear consistent with genuine Edo-age materials. KOTE – Armored sleeves with kusari and plates The kote combine chainmail (kusari), lacquered plates and gold-colored reinforcements. Excellent condition overall. Haidate and Suneate – Thigh and leg protection The haidate continue the orange-white odoshi pattern. The suneate feature lacquered brown plates with gilded elements and fur at the lower edges—an elegant and functional Edo-period detail. Gunbai – Command fan with red cross Included is a gunbai war fan, used by commanders. It is lacquered in black and painted with a red cross, a symbol adopted by certain Edo forces to indicate leadership or unit identity. Its direct, functional style suggests real use. Original storage box (Yoroi-bitsu) with leather cover The armor comes with its original yoroi-bitsu, painted with a gold mon. Additionally, the box is protected by an outer leather cover, a rare surviving accessory that significantly raises the historical and collector value of the set. Overall evaluation A powerful, visually striking armor with its original box, leather cover, gunbai, superb odoshi colors, and suji-bachi kabuto with stylized antlers. The armour has gilded details that show the quality of the piece. The incredible workmanship accentuates such ornate pieces as the kabuto, the mempo and the Do. The stand to assemble it and the box are included. This armour is sure to delight any collector of Asian art and will be the focal point of any visitor's home, shop or office. There is a very ancient object and there are damaged by time and tears. There is a possibility that parts may have been added later or that restoration occurred. Due to the delicacy of continuous assembly and disassembly, returns are not allowed on old armor.
