This suiban (shallow container) features bamboo and birds pattern and is stamped with the words "Daimyou sen toku 大明宣徳 (Xuande of the Great Ming Dynasty)." The four legs are designed to resemble nuts. It was made between the late Edo period and the Meiji period. "Xuande of the Great Ming Dynasty" refers to an inscription on a bronze vessel made by imperial decree during the reign of Emperor Xuanzong of the Ming Dynasty (1426-1435), specifically in 1428.
