Dear, I have recieved the carpet but was under the impression from the description that it was cleaned.
there is a lot of hair and other dirt on it and it smells. Do you know how I can best clean it?

Thank you for your feedback. Please allow me to clarify: all Nilo Kilim rugs are entirely new and unused – they come directly from our weavers. The “hair” you noticed is most likely loose excess wool fibers, which is natural at the beginning with 100% sheep’s wool and will reduce after a few vacuumings.

The scent you mentioned is also simply the natural scent of fresh wool - and also a proof of its authenticity, which fades naturally with time. To speed this up, I recommend letting the rug air out in fresh air.

I’ll be happy to send you some detailed cleaning tips in a separate message. 

And of course, just like all our customers, you also have the right to return the rug within 14 days if it does not suit you.
