About the Artist Mgr. Lenka Simanová Slniečková, dipl. s. is a Slovak visual artist whose expressive paintings explore the profound relationship between nature, colour, human emotions, and the philosophy of Traditional Chinese Medicine. Her multidisciplinary background has shaped a distinctive artistic language that unites symbolism, intuitive expression, and contemporary fine art. Her creative journey began long before she devoted herself fully to painting. After graduating in Nursing, she spent several years working in healthcare, where daily encounters with people deepened her fascination with the intricate connection between the body, mind, and emotions. This experience inspired years of study in Traditional Chinese Medicine, Five Elements nutrition, colour psychology, and the energetic principles of nature. Rather than remaining separate disciplines, these fields gradually became the foundation of her artistic vision. Alongside her professional studies, Lenka continually expanded her artistic education and is currently completing the third level of Fine Arts studies at an Art School. There, she refines classical painting techniques while developing a visual language that is unmistakably her own—one that balances technical discipline with intuitive freedom. Every painting begins without sketches or predetermined compositions. Instead, each work evolves through an intuitive dialogue between emotion, colour, texture, and light. Spontaneity guides the creative process, while experience shapes harmony and composition. For Lenka, colour is far more than an aesthetic element; it is a universal language capable of expressing emotion, atmosphere, memory, and inner transformation. Nature is the heart of her work. Lions, horses, wolves, owls, birds, trees, and abstract forms become timeless symbols of courage, freedom, wisdom, vitality, and personal growth. Vibrant colour harmonies, luminous light, expressive textures, and intuitive energy define each painting, inviting viewers to experience not only what they see but also what they feel. Throughout her artistic career, Lenka Slniečková has presented her work in more than fifty exhibitions in Slovakia and abroad, including the Czech Republic, Spain, Gibraltar, Serbia, and Romania. Her milestone exhibition, Golden Symphony of Colours – 50 Reflections of the Sun, brought together a comprehensive collection of her paintings and marked a significant chapter in her artistic journey. Every artwork is an original, created only once and never reproduced. Each painting is accompanied by a Certificate of Authenticity bearing the artist's embossed seal, confirming its authenticity, title, technique, dimensions, and year of creation. Collectors also receive a personally written text revealing the inspiration behind the work together with the symbolism of its motifs and colours from artistic, psychological, and philosophical perspectives. Today, Lenka's paintings are held in private collections in Slovakia and internationally. Her work is created with the belief that art possesses the power to transcend decoration.
