Sub miniatuur Camera Lumiere Eljy met origineel lederen tasje, een papier backed 30 mm filmrol inbegrepen.

Sub miniatuur camera's onderscheiden zich door het gebruik van originele filmformaten kleiner dan 35mm. 
De camera is in zeer goede staat, waardoor het een prima sub miniatuur camera voor verzamelaars is. 

Dit model is de Super ELJY (1938-39 Super f/3.5) gemaakt rond 1939, topsnelheid 1/125 sec. In de reclame Super Eljy genoemd en werd samen met het vorige model verkocht. Sluitertijden van T, B, 25, 50, 100, 125. Aansluiting voor kabelontspanner en driepoot bus. Lypar Anastigmat f/3.5-f/20 lens met zwarte rand. Schuifdeksel voor rood venster. Vroege versies hebben nog steeds het grote zoekvenster; Daarna veranderd in een kleiner venster, nog steeds met een zwarte venstersluiting. 

Beschrijving 

Om een kleine camera te ontwerpen, verkleinden de meeste uitvinders eerst het filmformaat. Lumière en CIE uit Lyon, Frankrijk, kozen voor een groot filmformaat en bouwden daar de kleinste camera's omheen. Hun logica is onberispelijk. Kleine formaten moeten worden vergroot met de resulterende korrel, een groot formaat kan zelfs met een middelmatige lens een acceptabele afdruk opleveren. De iets grotere camera is gemakkelijker in elkaar te zetten en goedkoper te produceren. 

De Eljy van Lumière, de naam afgeleid van de gebroeders Lumière (Auguste en Louis), twee pioniers van de Franse cinema uit Lyon en de firma Jougla uit Parijs (1911) die zich aansloten om camera's te produceren. In 1937 bracht het bedrijf de eerste Franse 24x36 mm camera op de markt. Het basis Nouveau-ontwerp, met afgeronde hoeken, evolueerde totdat het in 1951 werd vervangen door de Eljy Club. 

Met 76x50x45 mm is de Eljy kleiner dan de originele Duitse Photavit terwijl hij een groter negatief heeft.  De lens schuift uit op een buis en klikt op zijn plaats. De achterkant is vergrendeld en schuift naar beneden om de papieren achterkant van 30 mm film te onthullen. De Galileo-typezoeker verschijnt op scharnieren. De sluiter, die zich in de lenscilinder bevindt, maakt het mogelijk om snelheden te hebben: 1/10, 1/25, 1/50, 1/100 en B. T werd toegevoegd aan het type 3 en de snelste sluiter werd verlengd tot 1/125. Type 4 veranderde het snelste diafragma in 1/150 en Type 5 in 1/200. De Lypar f/3.5 lens heeft een variabele focus van 0,5m tot oneindig (20 inch op de imperiale versie).

1937 f/3.5 ($ 120)

Everset sluiter met een keuze uit T en I, maar met een volledig diafragmabereik en een scherpstellende Lumiere Lypar f/3.5 lens. Zwarte wijzerplaat zonder chromen randen. Sluitertijden B, 25, 50, 100. Geen draadontspanner en geen voorziening voor statief. 

1938 f3.5 ($ 120)

Zwarte wijzerplaat met chromen randen en openingen; Anders zoals het type uit 1937. Sluitertijden B,25,50,100. Geen draadontspanner. Geen statiefbus. Lumiere Lypar f3.5/50mm lens gemarkeerd met "Sie G".
 
1939 f/4.5 ($ 120)
 
Als het type uit 1938 maar Lumiere Lypar f/4.5 lens. Sluitertijden B,25,50,100. Geen draadontspanner. Geen statiefbus. 

1939-40 Deuxième Bureau 

Flat black, een vroege versie van de Super Eljy, volledig bedekt met plat zwart email voor de Franse geheime dienst. Heeft nog steeds een groot zoekerraam zoals de 1937-39 types, maar "Super" functies van de nieuwe sluiter tot 1/125e en draadontspanner. 

1938-39 Super f/3.5 ($ 90) 

Genoemd Super Eljy in de reclame en werd samen met het vorige model verkocht.  Sluitertijden van T, B, 25, 50, 100, 125. Aansluiting voor kabelontspanner. Driepoot bus. Lypar Anastigmat f/3.5-f/20 lens met zwarte rand. Schuifdeksel achteraan voor rood venster. Vroege versies hebben nog steeds het grote zoekvenster; Daarna veranderd in een kleiner venster, nog steeds met een zwarte zoeker. 

1944 f/3.5 1/150e ($ 90) 

De snelheid wordt verhoogd tot 1/150e en vervolgens krijgt de sluiter een aparte spanhendel en heeft de zoeker een chromen rand; wat de meest voorkomende versie is. Sluitertijden 10, 25, 50, 100, 150, B, T. Lypar f3.5 lens. Diafragmaschaal naar f/20. Scherpstellen op 0,5 m. Zwarte of chromen lensrand. Wollensak Velostigmat f/3.5 lens 25-100, B, T Wollensak Deltax sluiter 

1945 f/3.5 1/200e ($ 90) 

Sluitertijden 10, 25, 50, 100, 200, B, T. Gecoate lens. De diafragma geeft nu f/3.5 tot f/16 aan. Niet gesynchroniseerd. Latere versie heeft een nieuwe stijl van belettering en chromen lensrand. 

1948-49 f/3.5 gesynchroniseerd ($ 90) 

"Eljy" en "Lumiere" aan de zijkant van de lens. Sluitertijden van B, 10, 25, 50, 100, 200, B, T. gesynchroniseerd. Gecoate lens. 1950 (wit gezicht $ 90) Wit sluitergezicht met zwart type. Snelheden T, B, 200, 100, 50, 25, 10. f/3.5-16 20" tot oneindig. Gesynchroniseerd. Snelheden en diafragma's die van bovenaf zichtbaar zijn. 

Club 1951-60 ($ 150, gekleurde bekledingen $ 300) 

Bijgewerkt in styling en met 24x36mm belichtingen op speciale 35mm film. De Eljy Club was een gemoderniseerde versie van de Super Eljy met een superieure lens en sluiter. In 82x50x52 mm bevat de camera een 40 mm Lypar f/3.5 lens met een minimale scherpstelafstand van 50 cm, randset Atos of Atos 2 sluiter van 1 tot 1/300 seconde plus B.  De chromen bovenbehuizing is voorzien van een optische zoeker en een uitdovingsmeter. Bij nadere beschouwing zijn er letters van het woord "LUMIERE" die oplichten met een gekarteld wiel aan de bovenkant ingesteld op dezelfde letter in combinatie met de Franse woorden voor zon, bewolkt, waas, enz. bepalen de sluiter en het diafragma om in te stellen. De vergelijkbare Photavit heeft een kleiner 24x24mm negatief. Helaas maakt de camera gebruik van papier terug 35mm, maar anders dan de Kodak 828 (zoals gebruikt in het Photavit 828-model) film, waardoor het tegenwoordig moeilijker te gebruiken is. Naast de normale zwarte bekleding was de Eljy Club in de vroege stijl verkrijgbaar met blauwe, groene, gele, rode, bruine of witte bekleding.
