Itziar Ramos

Veer Hooda - represented by one of the top galleries in Vienna - is a contemporary Indian-Austrian artist based in Vienna. He has participated in several exhibitions internationally (listed on the website) including in the Lincoln Center New York and will be exhibiting at Miami Art Basel in December 2025.

He has also designed several art concepts for luxury hotels and interior spaces.

About this work:

'Midnight Summit’ 

This work is a part of Veer Hooda's 'Eclectic Horizons' series which is deeply inspired by Himalayan nature, where the artist owns a house looking over one of the highest mountain range in the world (Nandadevi Range). The serene Himalayan landscape and the colors of the changing seasons are deeply rooted in this series along with the artists love for David Hockneys work who is a great inspiration for Veer Hooda. Paintings in this series have been sold for over
4000 USD.

The paintings have a very high-end finish and wide depth of the canvas, gives them a very rich feel and significance presence.

Artworks from the Horizon series will be exhibited later this year in the Monaco and Miami Art Basel. 

Artist statement:

“My work is deeply rooted in the beauty of nature and the Joy of life despite its tragic and abstract nature or perhaps because of it. 

The works in these series flow between the memory of a place and the emotional residue it leaves behind. I paint atmospheres rather than objects, moments which are drawn from a larger narrative. These paintings are not landscapes in the traditional sense-they are emotional geographies and though some of my works are abstract, the works hint at forms: a coastline, a hill, a sunset. I embrace ambiguity deliberately-it allows the viewer to find their own emotional anchor within the piece.

My work is deeply rooted in the study of Newtons Color Theory although my formal education is a specialization of mathematics. 

Painting, for me, is a space to slow down and create and in a world that rushes, I want my art to be a place where time lingers.”


Size: 150 x 120 x 8cm

Sides: The painting is made on high quality Italian cotton canvas and has a canvas length of 6 cm on the side for mounting on any frame by the buyer.

Materials: All materials used are of extremely high quality (Amsterdam professional acrylics, Windsor & Newton oil paints and Italian cotton canvas) and all works are varnished to ensure longevity of the art piece and protection from sunlight.

Signed: Each painting is hand signed and comes with a certificate of Authenticity signed by the artist.

Delivery and Frame: Frame is not included and the painting will be shipped professionally packed and rolled in a tube. It is possible to have the painting shipped with the frame and ready to hang for an additional charge. This can be agreed after purchase.
