Un po di storia:
iMac G3, il computer che salvò Apple.
22 febbraio 2001 Al Macworld Expo di Tokyo, in Giappone, Steve Jobs presenta  l’iMac Special Edition disponibile nei colori Flower Power, Dalmatian Blue, e Graphite.

“iMac si è evoluto in un centro di intrattenimento, in cui è possibile creare filmati per desktop, gestire la vostra libreria di musica digitale”, spiegò Jobs, aggiungendo “IMovie e iTunes sono così facili da imparare e da usare, anche i vostri genitori li possono utilizzare senza confondersi.” S.J.

Il Flower Power, era un riferimento al passato di Apple, ma anche alla cultura pop del momento. Infatti, alla fine degli anni ’90 e all’inizio di quelli 2000 ci fu un nostalgico ritorno agli anni’ 60, e Steve Jobs è sempre stato ispirato dalla controcultura degli anni ’60.

Gli iMac Flower Power ebbero una vita breve (anche per questo sono ricercatissimi dai collezionisti), infatti la produzione terminò nel mese di luglio dello stesso anno.
