Zilveren schaal van Georg Jensen, Harald Nielsen nr. 575C. Afmetingen: 12,7 cm, in goede staat. Gedateerd 1933-1945. Heeft wat gebruikssporen op het rand maar niet storend. Gewicht 129 gr. 

Ontworpen door Harald Nielsen (1892 - 1977)

Harald Nielsen was de jongere broer van Johanne, de derde vrouw van Georg Jensen. Hij wilde schilder worden, maar raakte betrokken bij de zilversmederij van Georg Jensen, waar hij in 1909 als leerling begon. Van daaruit werkte hij zich op tot ontwerper/directeur van de zilversmidschool. In 1954 werd hij directeur van de smederij en in 1958 artistiek leider, een functie die hij tot 1962 bekleedde.

De rol van Nielsen als hoofd van de leerlingenschool was met name belangrijk na het overlijden van Jensen in 1935. Nielsen zorgde ervoor dat de hoge kwaliteit van het ontwerp en de productie van het bedrijf gewaarborgd bleef door getalenteerde jonge zilversmeden en ontwerpers aan te trekken en hen op te leiden volgens de hoge normen van Georg Jensen Silversmith.
