Né à Bosc-le-Hard en Normandie, Albert Malet est une figure emblématique de l’École de Rouen. Élève du peintre impressionniste Robert Antoine Pinchon, il débute sa carrière artistique en 1931 et expose dès 1942 au Salon de l’École française au Palais de Tokyo. Profondément attaché à sa région natale, il peint avec sensibilité les paysages normands, les rives de la Seine et les atmosphères changeantes des saisons. Son œuvre se distingue par une maîtrise subtile de la lumière et une palette nuancée, héritée de la tradition impressionniste. Instituteur à Claville-Motteville de 1947 à 1960, il reste fidèle à ses racines tout en participant activement à la vie artistique locale. Chevalier des Palmes académiques, il est aujourd’hui reconnu comme l’un des grands interprètes de la Normandie picturale
