Original Wally Robertson Artwork
Walter (Wally) Robertson (1892-1983). Wally Robertson was born in Glasgow, Scotland and attended Glasgow School of Art.
He worked in 1914 at Fleetway House ( Amalgamated Press)
After the 1914-1918 war he returned to Art School and while there submitted work to magazines such as Passing Show and London Opinion.
During the Golden Age of the 1930s Robertson's work appeared in every important funnies title including Funny Wonder, Jester, Crackers, Comic Cuts, Larks, Joker, Jolly and Jingles.
Original Wally Robertson sketches for the comic strip " Marmaduke & His Ma", circa 1930's. The collection is of 6 pages, one with drawings to each side. There are 2 complete stories which are 6 panels long and there appear to be 3 incomplete stories that are 4 panels long. 
They measure 20cm x 25cm each.
 The drawings are from the wartime having many references to the war in Britain There is one story where Ma wants to help refugees, there is a drawing of a Spitfire plummeting and also some soldiers training.
