BODYWORK / PAINTWORK
The Jaguar retains its original paint, which is in good overall condition with a consistent finish and shine throughout. The paint has small scratches and minor stone chips on the front section, primarily the hood, typical for a vehicle of this age. However, there are no dents or signs of major damage. The car has not been restored or resprayed, preserving its authenticity.

There are no visible rust issues on the body panels. The underside is solid, with only minor surface rust visible on some suspension components – nothing structural. No welding appears to have been done or is needed.

The chrome trim around the car are in very good condition, with a nice, shiny appearance. Rubber seals around the doors and windows are intact and in good overall condition, with no signs of major cracking or perishing. The windows are clean and free of major scratches or chips.

The wheels are well preserved, with no significant curb damage or scuffing.

TECHNICAL CONDITION
Mechanically, the car is in good running condition, but we recommend a full mechanical inspection before regular road use. The 4.0L inline-six engine starts easily, both cold and warm, and delivers a smooth, pleasant sound. It revs well and pulls strongly, reflecting its relatively low mileage. The engine bay remains in original condition, with no signs of previous modifications.

Due to the car’s age, some oil leaks are present, which is not uncommon for a classic of this type. The automatic gearbox shifts smoothly and performs as it should, without hesitation or harshness.

The suspension is solid, the brakes are operational, but the car has been stationary for some time. The exhaust system is in good condition, with no noticeable damage or corrosion. The belts and hoses appear in fair condition, although age-related wear should be assumed.

Tyres need replacing due to age.

According to the Carfax report, the car was regularly maintained while in the US, although specific service records are not available. The mileage is verifiable and consistent.

INTERIOR
The interior is in very well-preserved, original condition. The seats are trimmed in leather, with some visible wear on the driver’s seat. The passenger seat is in excellent shape. The leather-wrapped steering wheel is in perfect condition, showing minimal signs of wear.

The carpets are clean, intact and free from stains or damage. The cabriolet roof is in excellent condition. All interior trim panels are present and in good condition.

All electrical components are currently functional, including the side windows, blower, interior lighting, and the original radio, which operates as intended. There are no warning lights on the dashboard or known persistent electrical faults. However, due to the car’s age, minor electrical issues may occasionally occur. For example, during testing, we noticed that the rear electric triangular window sometimes did not lower automatically when operating the convertible roof – this may require inspection or adjustment.
