New Harley Davidson Dragster V-Rod Destroyer, never driven, 1300 cc, year of manufacture: 2007.

This vehicle is not intended to be driven on the road, but only on the drag strip, so no registration papers. 

With the Destroyer, Harley-Davidson offers the dragster for sale over the counter. It is no longer the dynamite reserved for a few enthusiasts, but a massive adrenaline rush for everyone... Well, almost. This crazy thing is still sold for €45,000 and only 600 of them are produced for 2006. 

Don't expect to get one before 2007, because the two models planned for France this year have already been reserved and one model is for Belgium.

The liquid-cooled twin of the V-Rod is enlarged to 1,300 cc by increasing the stroke and the bore. The cylinder heads are revised, the compression ratio is increased to 14:1, forged pistons are fitted, an electro-pneumatic shifter is added for gear selection and the clutch is reinforced. The clutch is seriously tested, as it has to transmit a lot of power. The V-Rod Destroyer develops over 165 hp at the rear wheel (which must be well over 180 at the crankshaft). That's a lot of power for a twin-cylinder engine!

We might as well get rid of anything superfluous. The indicators, lighting, exhaust, rear shock absorber and almost 45 kg are all removed. The Destroyer has an unladen weight of 239 kg, including the wheelie-bar. 

With this appendix, you can squeeze the handlebars like a maniac without risking toppling the motorcycle. Once you've got the beast in your hands, settle comfortably into the very deep seat, open up, and pray...
