AI-assisted summary

Description from the seller

Master Sarnari, part of the Scicli group, was one of the leading figures in contemporary painting in Sicily and worldwide. The graphic presented here was printed using the 'digital.calcography' technique, a completely original method I personally invented at my workshop in Comiso, 'seristampa,' where the intaglio technique blends with digital technology. The first layer is printed with an HP 3200 plotter after working together with the artist on the computer. Once printed, the artist determines where to intervene with aquatint, etching, and drypoint to give body and substance to the composition. It is then printed in intaglio using a hand press. This technique allows the artist to highlight points of light and material to make the image vibrate and achieve perfect chromatic harmony. In this case, Master Sarnari was particularly interested in color, light, and shadow.
