Paul Moutschen is the son of Jos Moutschen. He studies at the St-Luc higher school in Liège, where he first attends the higher institute of fine arts before studying art history and archaeology at the university. From 2001 to 2003, he takes philosophy courses at the Université libre de Bruxelles.
Paul Moutschen is an independent painter, draftsman, engraver, and sculptor. Since the early 1980s, he has exhibited his works in Luxembourg and abroad. His monumental sculpture Les Saisons has found a location in Pétange, while the sculpture Les Oiseaux is located in Bourglinster. Paul Moutschen illustrated his father’s book Oberkorner Dorfgeschichten, as well as the brochure '1,000 Years in 100 Minutes'. Wenzel itinerary (1995), in collaboration with Stanislaw Berbec.
Paul Moutschen is the author of three poetry collections: 'Far from the Night of Dreams,' 'Open Stone,' and 'The Prophetic Laurel.' His philosophical and meditative poems refer to his work as an artist and evoke the confrontation with stone as a material. Paul Moutschen was a member of the LSV.
