This striking fountain pen is a rare and highly distinctive example of Japanese pen craftsmanship, notable for its exceptionally large, oversized proportions and bold architectural presence. Measuring far larger than standard writing instruments, it was clearly designed as a statement piece—both functional and expressive.

The pen features a thick, solid barrel with a deep, lustrous finish, paired with a strikingly large gold-tone nib, engraved with elegant detailing and marked “New Clip”. The nib’s size and profile suggest a smooth, expressive writing experience, ideal for collectors who appreciate bold line variation and visual presence on the page. The ink movement style is reminiscent of the eyedropper pens and handles the ink directly inside the pen's barrel and works much like a traditional piston pen. The nib is spotless and extra-fine in thickness.
