Description from the seller

Ascorti – Two Italian artisanal pipes

Peppino Ascorti – Italy, circa 1980–1990.
Historical background
Giuseppe 'Peppino' Ascorti is one of the central figures of the modern Italian school.
Co-founder of Caminetto (1968), after leaving the manufactory, he started the Ascorti production, characterized by:
entirely handcrafted workmanship
High-quality Italian radica
Decisive finishes (deep sanding, expressive rusticity, very clean smoothness)
Excellent yield in smoke.
Le Ascorti are now out of production and steadily sought after in the European market.
PIPA ASCORTI No.1 – Red sandblasted ('Sea Rock style')
Description
Shape: straight / slightly inclined, classic Italian.
Finish: deeply sandblasted, Burgundy red stain.
Radica: robust selection, marked grain
Black ebonite with 'A' logo, original Ascorti.
Marking: Hand Made Italy – Ascorti
Condition: excellent, case intact, normal signs of use.
Character
A pipe with a strong personality, very representative of Ascorti's more 'muscular' and functional style.
Market value 2024–2025
€140 – €160
Up to €180 if sold individually with an accurate description.

PIPA ASCORTI No.2 – Smooth flame
Description
Shape: classic bent
Finish: smooth natural, warm and clearly visible grain.
Radica: superior quality, well-aged
Bocchino: black ebonite with Ascorti logo.
Condition: very good, intact structure, sweet smoke.
Character
More elegant and for connoisseurs, typical Ascorti smooth from the '80s–'90s, now less common than the sandblasted ones.
Market value 2024–2025
150 to 200 €
Highest quotation if intended for a collector.

Total value of the 2 ascorti.
Bulk sale: €250 – €300
Separate and selective sale: €280 – €340
Full collectible value (EU market): up to €360
Final judgment
