Florence Henri, Fabrik, a lithograph hand-signed by the artist, in good condition, 77 × 57 cm (framed), origin United States, sold by Galerie, limited edition 102/150.
Description from the seller
Henri began her career as a pianist and then pursued training as a painter at the Bauhaus in Weimar, Germany, where she studied with Paul Klee and Vasily Kandinsky. Subsequently she continued her studies at the Académie Moderne in Paris, under the direction of Fernand Léger. She worked in an abstract style and regularly combined her paintings with collage elements, as seen in works such as Black-White-Silver No. 11 and Construction bleu-rouge-noir.
These early works show clear influences of Cubism, Purism, and Constructivism, artistic movements with which Henri was well acquainted through her studies and travels in Europe. The work described here stems from this early period.
In later years she mainly devoted herself to photography.
Dimensions: 74 x 54 cm
Dimensions with frame: 77 x 57 cm
Viewing is, of course, possible. Additionally, we have our own in-house framing workshop, which is celebrating its 85th anniversary. Furthermore, we collaborate with restorers from the professional organization: 'Restauratoren Nederland'. If you wish to make use of this service, we would of course be happy to hear from you.
