George Heidweiller (born 1963), Untitled, a mixed technique Pop Art work, 78 x 78 cm, original edition, sold with frame, Netherlands.
Description from the seller
George Heidweiller is a Dutch artist known for his dynamic, layered and experimental visual language in which pop culture, street art and graphic structures come together. Born in 1963 in The Hague, Heidweiller developed from the eighties into a distinctive voice within contemporary Dutch art, influenced by urban art, music culture and the energy of international metropolises.
In this work Heidweiller brings together diverse visual realms in an energetic, provocative composition. Two realistically depicted bare feet float centrally in the image, like a frozen moment full of elegance and movement. The skin tones form a warm and tangible contrast with the background. On one of the legs there is a striking tattoo: the delicate portrait of a woman, surrounded by small floral motifs. This tattoo blurs the boundary between body, art and cultural symbolism.
Dimensions of the work with frame: 78 x 78 cm
Dimensions of the work without frame: 50 x 50 cm
Viewing is of course possible. Additionally, we have our own in-house custom framing shop, which is celebrating its 85th anniversary year. Furthermore, we make use of restorers from the industry association: 'Restauratoren Nederland'. If you would like to use this service, we would be happy to hear from you.
