Description from the seller

Waterman's Ideal 412 1/2 VP - Sterling Silver Filigree
Magnificent Waterman's Ideal fountain pen, model 412 1/2 VP, a collector's piece from the early 20th century (circa 1910–1920). This model stands out for its exquisite sterling silver plating with an elegant vertical line engraving ("pinstripe").
It is the "VP" (Vent-less Pocket) version, a shorter, more manageable model originally designed for easy carrying. The body and cap feature the contrasts of solid silver. At the tail end, the engraving of the "412 1/2 VP" model is clearly visible.
The pen carries its original Waterman's Ideal 14-karat gold nib, an iconic nib for its smoothness and responsiveness. The filling system is eyedropper, characteristic of the era. The ball clip remains firm and functional, preserving the original patina that certifies its age.
A unique opportunity to acquire a classic example from Waterman’s golden era in very respectable condition for its more than 100 years.
It ships carefully packaged in a generic case with tracking number and insured.
