Corneille, Ça fête, is a hand-signed lithograph from 1997, in good condition, 42 × 30 cm without a frame, produced in the Netherlands in a limited edition of 30 (edition 28/30) in the Cobra style by Galerie.
Description from the seller
In Ça fête, Corneille uses bold colors and simplified shapes. A yellow girl and a red bird dominate the composition. These motifs and the playful use of color are characteristic of his graphic work and align with his CoBrA background, in which spontaneity and expressiveness are central.
Corneille (1922–2010) was a co-founder of the CoBrA movement and an important innovator in post-war art. His work evolved from abstract to figurative, with recurring themes such as birds, women, and flowers. This colorful silkscreen print is a fine example of his later style.
Dimensions of the work without a frame: 42 x 30 cm
No list
Appointments for viewing are available. We have our own framing workshop (celebrating 85 years) and work with recognized restorers (Restauratoren Nederland). Please feel free to contact us via our website.
