Corneille, Été incendiaire (1965), an original colour lithography on paper in a limited edition, hand-signed by the artist, 65 × 51 cm, Netherlands, sold by Galerie, in good condition.
Description from the seller
Été incendiaire (1965) is an original color lithograph by Corneille on paper, produced within a limited edition and signed by the artist. The title literally means “fiery summer,” which fits the expressive color contrasts and the dynamic character of the work, typical features of his graphic oeuvre from the 1960s.
Corneille (1922–2010) was a co-founder of the CoBrA movement and an important innovator in post-war art. His work evolved from abstract to figurative, with recurring themes such as birds, women, and flowers. This colorful silkscreen print is a fine example of his later style.
Dimensions of the work without a frame: 65 x 51 cm

Appointments for viewing are available. We have our own framing workshop (celebrating 85 years) and work with recognized restorers (Restauratoren Nederland). Please feel free to contact us via our website.
