Intérieur hollandais, a copper engraving after Gabriel Metsu (1629–1667) depicting an interior scene, 31.5 × 24 cm, produced in France in the eighteenth century, in good condition.
Description from the seller
Charming old engraving depicting a Dutch domestic interior scene in the style of Gabriel Metsu. The composition features two figures in a rustic interior: a woman standing, holding a jug near a conical, typically Dutch fireplace, and a young man seated at a table with a cask. The scene captures the intimacy and daily life of Dutch domestic life in the seventeenth century, characteristic of Metsu's style.
Technical details:

Binding traces: Two small punched holes visible at the top suggest that this engraving was part of a bound volume or portfolio, a common practice for collections of engravings after the masters.
Good overall health for their age.

Watermark well preserved.
A few minor signs of aging and reddening.
Complete margins
Sharp print with beautiful contrasts
