Seiko Quartz Chronograph reference 7A38-7020, a men’s stainless steel 38 mm case watch from 1983 with a grey dial and black subdials, powered by the Seiko 7A38 quartz movement, in good condition with wear and no original box or papers.
Description from the seller
The 7A38-7020 is pure 80s Seiko flex – a stainless steel Royal Oak-inspired chronograph powered by one of the best quartz movements ever made. The caliber 7A38 was jewelled, fully serviceable, and massively over-engineered.
The serial number dates it to October 1983 – two months after the 7A38 was launched. This particular reference is highly sought-after among collectors due to its rarity, featuring a gray dial with black subdials and the iconic 12-sided bezel.
If you’re looking for that integrated bracelet look with real horology behind it, this is it.
Condition: Good condition for its age. Some markings on the case and bracelet. The latter has some stretch, but it still feels solid and comfortable on the wrist. The mineral crystal has some scratches. Please see the pictures for full condition and clarity.
Case Size: 38.5 x 42.5mm stainless steel case with a thickness of 11.2mm.
Movement: Seiko 7A38, quartz with 15 jewels. Known as the world’s first analog quartz chronograph with a day/date complication. Service history is unknown, but everything is working as it should.
