Two original 18th-century copper engravings from the anatomical work of Bernhard Siegfried Albinus Loder, from his monumental atlas Tabulae anatomicae.
Tab. XXI
Anatomical study of:
- Forearm bones
- Pelvis and hip joint,
- Joint cross-sections
- Detailed views of articulations
Tab. XXV
- Extensive anatomical study of:
- Foot and ankle
- Muscles, tendons and ligaments
- Various stages of dissection
The plates are exceptionally finely engraved and show the scientific precision for which Loder was known. The detailing is exceptionally sharp and anatomically correct.

Condition: good antique state with typical signs of aging (spots, slight discoloration, edge traces).
Loder was an influential German anatomist and a contemporary of the late Enlightenment. His atlas is regarded as one of the most important academic works within the history of medical illustration.
