Commodore Amiga 500 with 1 MB RAM via original A501 expansion from 1988, in good working order and boxed in its original packaging.
Description from the seller
Up for auction, a magnificent and complete retrocomputing system: the legendary Commodore Amiga 500.
A fundamental piece of the history of computing, presented in its original box and equipped with the essential accessories and software.
The lot includes a highly sought-after original Commodore A501 memory expansion (512KB + RTC) housed in its original metal shield inside the “trapdoor” slot. This brings the system's total memory to 1MB, a fundamental requirement for running most classic Amiga games and software.
The lot includes exactly what is visible in the photo:
• Computer: Commodore Amiga 500 (Keyboard layout: QWERTY, Made in W. Germany, Serial No. 1340193). Expansion ports intact and rust-free.
• Expansion: Original Commodore A501 RAM module (an additional 512KB) installed in the lower compartment (metal shield and plastic cover included).
• Power supply: Original Commodore "Heavy brick" (Made in West Germany).
• Mouse: Original Commodore Amiga "Tank Mouse".
• Software (original floppy disks): Workbench 1.3.2, Extras 1.3 / Basic 1.2, Primi Passi (Italian version), Amiga Appetizer (Gold Disk).
• Cables: Video cable included.
• Packaging: Original cardboard box (shows signs of wear due to age, but the internal protective Styrofoam inserts are present).
The computer has been tested: when connected to power, the system starts up normally and receives power.
The car has never been tampered with recently: it needs a good aesthetic cleaning, an internal dusting and the classic routine check-up.
The case and keys show the typical natural yellowing of the fireproof ABS plastics of the time (easily remedied with a Retr0bright treatment).
Important note for collectors: This is an original, unopened A501 expansion card, and most likely contains the original VARTA battery for the internal clock. We strongly recommend that the buyer inspect/remove the battery before intensive use to preserve the card's life.
An exceptionally complete lot. Careful, tracked shipping with super-protective packaging to preserve the original box.
