Description from the seller
Geert Vrijdag carried a calm about him, as if he always walked just one step slower than the rest of the world. Not out of laziness, but out of attention. He truly listened when someone spoke, looked up briefly before he answered, and thus seemed to see more than others. Vrijdag was his favorite day, not because the weekend began, but because the week felt finished then. As if everything unfinished still had one more chance to be made right.
Original work, signed bottom right and acrylic on paper.
Geert loved small rituals: the same coffee, the same chair, the same short moment of silence at the end of the day. People sometimes called him predictable, but those who looked closer saw that he was actually leaving room for what matters. No hurry, no embellishment. Just present.
And perhaps that was his greatest quality: Geert Vrijdag reminded you that not everything needs to be faster, bigger or louder. Sometimes "enough" is truly enough.
