Description from the seller
Geert Vrijdag had something quiet about him, as if he always walked just one step slower than the rest of the world. Not out of laziness, but from attention. He truly listened when someone spoke, looked up briefly before answering, and thus seemed to see more than others. Vrijdag was his favorite day, not because the weekend was beginning, but because the week then felt complete. As if everything unfinished got one more chance to turn out well.
Original work, signed bottom-right and acrylic on paper.
Geert loved small rituals: the same coffee, the same chair, the same brief moment of silence at the end of the day. People sometimes called him predictable, but those who looked closer saw that he left room for what matters. No rush, no frills. Just being present.
And perhaps that was his greatest quality: Geert Vrijdag reminded you that not everything needs to be faster, bigger, or louder. Sometimes "enough" really is enough.
