Uwe Städler is a German artist whose career has developed around geometric abstraction as an essential language. Trained in the context of post-war Europe, his work is part of the rationalist and constructive tradition, heir to modern thought and plastic research on form, space and perception.
Between 1960 and 1965 he studied painting at the Werkkunstschule in Wiesbaden under the tutelage of Vincent Weber. In 1973 he moved to Madrid, where he worked as an illustrator at the German Archaeological Institute. Since 1981 he has been living and studying in the south of Spain. Since 2003 he lives and works in Andalusia, where he continues to develop his artistic practice.
