Description from the seller
LA MIRADA is a 70x100 cm painting by contemporary artist Ernest García. In this painting, the portrait is built from frontal view and emotional intensity. The face occupies the center of the composition with a firm, almost silent serenity, while the green eyes establish direct and deep contact with the viewer. The expression is restrained, yet charged with presence.
The uniform green background enhances the figure and allows the colors of the outfit and the flowers to breathe more strongly. Above the head, two large flowers —one pink and one in coral tones— unfold like organic crowns, expanding the portrait toward the symbolic and giving it a nearly ceremonial dimension.
The circular earrings in red, blue and white introduce a geometric rhythm that balances the softness of the floral shapes. The yellow dress, decorated with botanical motifs, reinforces the dialogue between nature and the human figure.
The brushwork is visible and loose, especially on the petals and the skin, where pinkish and orange hues provide warmth and volume. It is not academic realism, but an expressive interpretation where color shapes the character.
LA MIRADA is not only a physical portrait, but an assertion of identity and presence. The figure is shown serene, confident and luminous, transformed into a symbol of contemporary beauty traversed by tradition and nature.
