Bram Bogart, Abstract, 2000, mixed media, original edition, framed; framed size 124 x 94 cm, image size 99 x 70 cm, hand-signed at the bottom right.
Description from the seller
Abstract work by Bram Bogart (1921-2012).
After a short figurative period he seeks his own path; in the 1960s a major turning point occurs in his work. Bogart then begins to work with a cement-like material, composed of oil, pigment, cement and colorants. Although he does not explicitly align himself with a particular movement, his work can be categorized within informal art, which also includes movements such as action painting and dripping (as in Jackson Pollock).
Dimensions: 99 x 70 cm
Dimensions with frame: 124 x 94 cm
Signed and dated '2000' bottom right
The work is housed in an exclusive frame
Provenance: Private collection, The Netherlands
Viewings are, of course, possible. In addition, we have our own in-house framing workshop, which is celebrating its 85th anniversary. The condition concerns only the work and not the frame. Damage to the frame prior to, during or after shipping will not be compensated. Furthermore, we use restorers from the professional body: 'Restauratoren Nederland'. If you would like to take advantage of this, please let us know."}
