Description from the seller
Very large-format art print after Sam Francis – “Untitled” (1989)
For sale is an impressive large-format print after a work by the significant American artist Sam Francis.
Francis is among the most important representatives of postwar abstract expressionism. His works are characterized by spontaneous color explosions, open pictorial spaces, and a dynamic painterly energy that creates movement and depth solely through color.
The motif “Untitled” from 1989 exemplifies this characteristic visual language: luminous fields of color that seem to float freely in space and, through their rhythmic distribution, create a strong visual tension.
Thanks to its exceptionally generous format, the print unfolds a particularly striking presence on the wall and is ideally suited as a modern statement piece for contemporary interiors, spacious living areas, or collections focused on abstract art and American postwar avant-garde.
