Tran Thi Thu Hien is a Vietnamese painter, born November 18, 1973 in the coastal city of Phan Thiet.
The fact that she hails from Phan Thiet, a city known for its beaches, its red sand dunes and Cham cultural heritage, suggests that her birthplace environment may have played an important role in shaping her artistic sensibility, particularly in her use of vivid colors and luminous themes.
Although the details of her training and work are personal, Vietnamese art is rich and varied, ranging from traditional lacquer techniques to contemporary styles, including abstract expressionism that can be found in some similar works from Vietnam.
The year of her birth, 1973, places her in a generation of artists who could flourish during a period of renewal and opening of the Vietnamese art scene.
