Christopher Corr's 1997 giclée Rollerblades New York is a limited edition pop art cityscape on a laminated wood panel from the United Kingdom, measuring 70 by 50 cm and weighing 2.8 kg, not signed, in excellent condition, and sold by an owner or reseller.
Description from the seller
Christopher Corr was born in London in 1955 to Irish parents. He studied Graphic Design at Manchester Polytechnic and was awarded the Leverhulme Travelling Scholarship to the USA in 1979. He returned to complete a masters at the Royal College of Art where he won the RCA Drawing Prize. He has had over a dozen exhibits since 1983, mainly influenced by his extensive travels, at the Curwen, Berkeley Square, and Cadogan Galleries.
His work has been awarded several times including the Chelsea Arts Club Graphics Prize, the Lloyds Bank Printmaking scholarship, the D&AD Silver Award and the Association Of Illustrators Silver Award for his work on Vikram Seth’s book A Suitable Boy.
Work on commission include: a millennium stamp for Royal Mail and paintings, posters and prints for Quantas, London Transport, National Aids Trust, Body Shop, Habitat and UNICEF.
On offer is an iconic, upbeat image of a street scene in Times Square New York, showing the Paramount building, a glimpse of Times Square station, neon and traffic signs, a yellow cab, a bus and skaters, of course.
The print has been laminated on wood; the edges of the panel have been finished with a shade of red in line with the image. Lamination prevents damage to the material (no rippling/creasing, staining or discoloration), a durable option. Ready to hang and decorate your wall.
Tracked and insured shipment, at current shipping rates, to countries as listed. I do not ship to the USA or conflict areas.
Local pick up is a possibility.
