Jacqueline Bozon (born 1966), Lineas Ilimitadas, original edition, mixed technique, 160 × 45 cm, Netherlands, signed, in good condition, part of the Ibiza series.
Description from the seller
This colorful plastic artwork was created by Jacqueline Bozon (born 1966, the Netherlands). She grew up in Helmond and currently lives and works in The Hague.
Jacqueline Bozon’s latest series, Ibiza, of which this work is a part, finds its origin on the eponymous Spanish island, a place where everyone can be themselves. Ibiza is a fascinating mix of diverse people: colorfully dressed hippies, a turquoise sea with silver waves, white-brown beaches, majestic rocks, blue skies, the scent of oranges, olives and oleander, blazing sunsets, and music.
All these elements are fused by Jacqueline into a colorful field of lines you can travel through. For Bozon, these lines represent life paths: the roads you walk in life. “Every path is different,” just as every step you take. At the same time, the colors and lines reflect the harmony of island life.
Over this, Bozon applies a layer of resin to intensify the colors and give the canvas the glossy appearance that Ibiza holds for many people. But those who truly want to delve into the island’s nature and culture must look through that gloss and pierce to the heart of the island’s inhabitants. For: “Only if you search will you find!”
Viewing is, of course, possible. In addition, we have our own in-house framing department, celebrating its 85th anniversary year. We also work with restorers from the industry association: ‘Restauratoren Nederland.’ If you would like to make use of this, we would of course be happy to hear from you.
