Description from the seller

The drawings by Rein Dool form an important part of his oeuvre and clearly show his characteristic style. They often combine refined linework with expressive simplicity, with human figures, portraits, and everyday scenes at the center. His drawings are both studies for paintings and independent works, often in ink, pencil, or watercolor, in which he subtly plays with light, shadow, and contours.
